D (3) 《ディー (3), Dī 3》 is the ninth chapter of Hellsing: Volume 4 and the Third Part of D. It is also the Twenty-Seventh chapter of the Hellsing manga.
Summary[]
Rip Van Winkle claims the ship, painting Millennium's cursed flag on the deck. She then turns to the vampire traitors who delivered command to her everything they deserve as her soldiers take full control of the ship. Elsewhere, The Major offers a rousing speech to his men to bring about greater morale and excitement for their upcoming war.
Synopsis[]
Rip Van Winkle kneels aboard the deck of the ship, singing another song, painting the ground with blood, having run our of red paint. She is greeted by the former Vice-Captain turned traitor who officially gives over command of their vessel to her. She finishes painting a massive swastika on the deck, claiming that it is now there vessel. She then turns and smiles at the Vice-Captain and asks how he enjoys being a vampire, and the Vice-Captain states that it is a magnificent thing. Rip proceeds to ask about his brethren, asking if his new body, his powers, and his immortality were worth it. If it was worth him betraying his friends, his subordinates, his superiors and nation for these new abilities. The Vice-Captain slowly grows more confused, but proceeds to state that it was. Rip would smile and say that Millennium is glad to have them there, and has issued them new orders. To take command of the area of sea where their vessel is floating and feed the fish.
The Vice-Captain, confused, asks her meaning, and Rip simply states that the traitors deserve to die. She raises her musket and fires point blank at the Vice-Captain and his men. The Vice-Captain barely dodges and prepares for a counter attack. Suddenly, he notices that the bullet Rip fired is changing directions mid-air and is coming back toward him. Before he can react to it, the bullet passes through his head, killing him. The other Vampires she had brought with her then awakens and takes the ship for themselves.
It then cuts to The Major as he begins to give a rousing speech regarding the upcoming war, the glory and murder, the fun and the pain, how all of it is on it's way and that they will destroy the English and have their endless war. The entire crew of his Zeppelin begins to chant "Krieg" over and over again, and slowly the air-ship begins to rise into the air. The last panel shows Alucard as he smiles with intent, uttering simply one word: "Come."
