The Security Service 《保安局, Hoan-Kyoku》, also know as Military Intelligence, Section 5 《軍情報部第5課, Gunji Jōhō Dai 5-ka》; shortened to MI5, is the United Kingdom's domestic counter-intelligence and security agency, and an organisation appearing only in the Hellsing anime, created by Gonzo.
The service is directed to protect British parliamentary democracy and economic interests and to counter terrorism and espionage within the United Kingdom. All employees of the service are bound by the Official Secrets Act. In certain circumstances, officers handling agents or informers may authorise them to carry out activity which would otherwise be criminal within the UK.
The Security Service[]
Its headquarters are located in Thames House, London, and the organisation is lead by the MI5 Chief; who's apart of The Convention of Twelve, and allied with the Hellsing Organisation and many other powerful organisations.[1] It's an organisation derived from the Secret Service Bureau, and formed on the 7th of October, 1909.
The service was said to specialize in investigating and learning more about the mechanism, as well as to determine the distributor of a certain dangerous item; a contrary to the Hellsing Organisation, who attacks the foe directly head-to-head - and not learn more about the enemy who they attack/attacked them. This is true on many occasions, as MI5 soon began investigations about the Valentine Brothers' background, and to determine who sent them to raid the Hellsing Manor head-on, with a plan that almost succeeded.[2] Furthermore, Harry Anders, one of the specialist working for MI5, stated that the MI5 does post-facto investigations, while the Hellsing Organisation only work at the scene.[3]

- An unnamed character in the anime, he's the Chief of Section-5 of the Military Intelligence, also known as the Security Service; whose job is to investigate a certain items mechanism, and their priority was, the FREAK Chip. He's also one of the members of the Convention of Twelve, where powerful people gather to discuss something and, to show their loyalty to the Queen; by sharing their power and knowledge to the rest, and by attending these gatherings.[4]

- Harry Anders
- Harry Anders was an MI-5 Agent who was involved with the backgrounds of the Valentine Brothers,[5] and also many other investigations. Anders investigated the 'FREAK Chips' and questioned Helena, taking Seras with him for protection, and did so without any orders from the chief of the organisation. He was killed when his car exploded, the circumstances of which are unknown.[6]
- David
- David was apparently an elite member in the organisation, and was involved with the mysterious, Valentine Brothers and their club; which eventually got him killed in the end by them.[7] His body being impaled with the flag of UK, and to be thrown to the sea of London, was to merely serve a message to the powerful organisations that's investigating them; and to not continue further in doing so.
