Gareth Henderson (ガレス・ヘンダーソン, Garesu Hendāson?) was a Captain in the employ of Hellsing Organization. He was the one whom treated Seras, aside from Captain Fargason an equal.
Appearance[]
Physical[]
Gareth is a pale-skinned man with black hair and pale grey eyes with a pear jaw and a normal build.
Clothing[]
He wears a Hellsing uniform which consists of Black vest, green military shirt with a Hellsing badge on his shoulder and Brown pockets. He wears green trousers with a knee pad and a combat boots. He wore a helmet for a moment before taking it off when Alucard saves him.
Personality[]
He's kind, caring and serious on missions. He accepts Seras's nature as a vampire and serves the Hellsing Organization seriously. His death also angers Integra, this was shown in Order 07, where Integra bursts in Anger after Enrico ironically mentions that he's there to pay respect for the Soldiers that died during the Valentine Brother's attack.
History[]
Gareth first appears in Episode 2 of the anime, sniping a vampire that Seras was supposed to kill but couldn't. He later appears training with his men until Seras comes in, stopping them all. Seras was given the Anti-Midian Rifle by Gareth cause it "suits her better" and teaches her how to kill a vampire, but before he could make an example, he was ordered to prepare his unit. He is prepared to shoot Jessica, who ran away from Alucard after he kills Leif if Seras doesn't shoot her. His response to Seras successfully shooting Jessica wasn't shown. In Episode 3, he was ordered to prepare for another mission, this time for a FREAK vampire who killed many Security and Police Officers. He, his men and Seras arrived to the place and orders P-7 to go in. He orders Seras to prepare her rifle and wait for his order to shoot. He was shocked when all of P-7 are dead, but before he could do anything, Alexander Anderson, a Vatican Agent who was sent by Enrico Maxwell to handle the vampire, throws his bayonet at Gareth's spine, killing him immediately. In Episode 7, after Integra bursts in anger with Enrico, she says that Anderson killed one of her best soldiers.

Seras Victoria[]
Gareth was one of the very few people that was kind towards Seras in the beginning of the Series, he's also the one who gave her the Hellsing Anti-Midians. Gareth was understanding towards Seras's condition, and, although they only interacted twice in the series, Gareth has treated her with nothing but kindness. His kindness towards Seras affects her in his death and she was visibly distraught and was sad in the remaining of Episode 3.
Peter Fargason[]
Gareth serves under Fargason, and he respects him as the commander of the Hellsing Military Forces.
Sir Integra Wingates Hellsing[]
Gareth, although never interacted on-screen, respects Integra and was chosen by her to be the captain of the Hellsing Military Forces for a reason, and in Episode 7, Integra dubbed Gareth as one of her best men.
Skills[]
- Experienced Sniper: Gareth is an expert at sniping as he usually lay down, waiting for Peter Fargason's order to kill any vampire.
