Chief Malfas 《担当部長マルファス, Tantō buchō Marufasu》 is a minor character in the Hellsing series created by Kohta Hirano.
He is the commander in charge of investigating the murders of families within the Birmingham incident before Sir Integra of the Hellsing Organisation stepped in.
Appearance[]
An older man, Malfas is quite lanky. He also has black, middle-parted hair. He wears a shirt and a tie with a pattern under a suit, matching trousers, and black business shoes. He is also equipped with square-framed glasses.
History[]
The gruesome murders of families left the police bamboozled at how quickly the perpetrator kills one. All occupants were murdered; none of them were left alive, which horrified Malfas. The most terrifying part was that six of the bodies had had their blood drawn out. The situation is determined to be impossible for the police to handle, so their high command transferred authority over the situation to the Hellsing Organisation.
The director, Sir Integra, arrived at the scene with two of her bodyguards; the revelation that she's a woman surprised the surrounding officers, including Malfas. Malfas introduced himself as the commander in charge of the situation and soon explained the incident at hand to Sir Integra right after. After the gruesome details and the information about the transfer of authority, Sir Integra states that Hellsing will take full responsibility. Sir Integra requested a map; Malfas complied and informed her that the two murderers are making their way to Route 17, making the rounds, attacking pre-selected houses and families, then comments on the situation, saying, "Like they're some kind of Bonnie and Clyde on the highway." Subsequently, Sir Integra orders Malfas and the others to dispose of the body before they turn into ghouls, as the targets are vampires. She then confidently stated that they can catch them and was enraged at the thought of them ridiculing the Protestant Church, England, and Hellsing.
